Hello, my name is Lou, and I live in Georgia. Welcome to my photo galleries. I hope you like what you see.

My main cameras are a Canon 400D, a.k.a. Rebel XTi,and a Canon 450D, the Rebel XSi. I also have a Panasonic FZ30 and my Canon SD40 pocket camera. It took me a long time to decide what I want to do when I grow up which is to become a really good photographer and share my art with the world. I started taking pictures at the age of 10 when my Dad gave me my first Kodak Brownie camera but only became serious about it over the last couple of years. I guess it was inevitable that I finally reached this point as I remember my father having his own darkroom in the basement and there is a "family legend" about an ancestor who, not only was a photographer but was also an inventor. It is said he invented the film for the camera but lost his patent in a poker game to a "man named Eastman." Don't know if it's true, but it certainly makes an interesting story.

I have been married for 35 years. I am the mother of 5 and grandmother of 2 (so far, that is). I am retired from the IT Department of the USPS but still working at home as a medical transcriptionist. I love photography, scrapbooking, gardening and traveling to new places (and old places).
